New Blog - Come and say hi!

Hello there! Thanks for stopping by :)

This is just a note to say that Feltasaurus is rather inactive as a blog nowadays, however I now have a shiny new, active blog called Saint Cardigan, as well as an Etsy store.

I would love for you to come and visit me at my new blog. It's full of things I make, such as weavings and crochet, as well as general creative chatter. Chances are you found Feltasaurus because of my Fishtail bracelet tutorial, and there are also plenty of DIY projects over on the new blog for you to make and enjoy!

Thank you for visiting Feltasaurus, and I hope to see you over at Saint Cardigan soon (click here to visit).

Watch This Space...

Hi there! If you're visiting from the Blog with Pip link share (or just visiting generally), thank you! I just wanted to let you know that, alas, this blog has become a little bit neglected over the last year or so, and I'm hoping to set up a new (much less neglected) blog in the new year, so watch this space for an eventual announcement. Or, leave your email address in the comments and I'll be sure to let you know when it launches. In the meantime, please take a look around and enjoy 'Feltasaurus' :)

5000 Poppies

I recently went along to a felt poppy making class at Open Drawer. The class took place as part of the '5000 Poppies' initiative.

'5000 Poppies' is a project started by some Melbourne crafters, who wanted to create 5000 handmade poppies, in order to 'plant' a poppy field to commemorate the ANZAC Centenary in 2015, marking 100 years since Australia's involvement in the First World War. But since it first started, '5000 Poppies' has grown like wildfire and they now have over 15,000 poppies - crocheted, knitted, felted, lacework, you name it!

The new aim is to 'plant' a field of 25,000 handmade poppies in Federation Square on ANZAC Day in 2015. Anyone can submit their own poppies and you can find out how to get involved here

25,000 of these is sure going to be a sight to behold!

This Week

This week had baked goods, daisies, sparkly nails and these two cuties, as well as the new issue of frankie magazine. I swear, frankie covers just keep getting more and more amazing and inspiring. This month the cover design was put together by some of my favourite artists, Greedy Hen

What little bits of goodness did your week contain?

Funky Nails!

I did some bright, funky, experimental nails this week. Alas, they are far more wobbly on my left hand of course.

I used Bloom 'Miss Connie 1' for the base colour and a Sally Hansen nail art pen for the lines. Have you done any funky new nail art recently?
